Larry Kolota, Kinesis Progressive Rock CDs, June 2007, Kinesis CD site (www.kinesiscd.com).
"Zózimo Rech and Adrianne Simioni have combined their efforts under the name Astronomusic. The cover artwork may suggest new age, but both musicians play guitar as well as keyboards and both combine synth music and instrumental progressive rock unlike anyone else. Unlike some electronic musicians who have little formal training or experience in bands, Rech and Simioni have both, and they certainly can play. In addition to time spent in rock and fusion bands, they were both in Orquestra Profana in the early 1990's, an ensemble dedicated to the interpretation of classical music with electric and electronic instruments. The Life of a Star is by and large a loud, bombastic progressive rock album that uses a lot of synths, but electric guitar prevails. It was recorded back in 1997 but not released until 2006. Pictures of a Solar System (2006)is considered the sequel. This one has some electric guitar and some rock but is more of a symphonic/melodic/rhythmic synth album along the lines of Synergy, though with higher energy, and sometimes touching upon the style of Fonya. It is compositionally the more mature album. Simioni plays electric and acoustic guitar and electric violin. Rech has arranging, co-arranging, and/or co-writing credits on all the songs on her 2006 album The Intelligible Sky, produced the album, and took care of the keyboards and sequencers. It is an album that is more progressive rock than synth music. It has more than enough energy and complexity for progressive rock fans, yet is full of sophisticated synth textures, both symphonic and spacey. The drums on all these albums are programmed, but they are well done; a human drummer would not have added much. The booklet for Pictures of a Solar System is particularly beautiful, 24 full-color panels featuring astronomy images created by Frank Hettick. Progressive rock fans should probably start with The Intelligible Sky, synth music fans with Pictures of a Solar System, but those open to both prog rock and synth music will find great music on any of these."

Welcome to Astronomusic ;
If creation had a soundtrack, it would be Astronomusic.
Using classical music as a launching pad, Zozimo and Adrianne, take modern electronic instrumentation from the first fires of creation, to the edge of the universe, and beyond.
Imagination is a path they lay before you with their music, as it explores the voices of the tiniest particles, to the massive stars, planets, and beings into which, they evolve.
The music of the spheres' takes on new life as Astronomusic use their instruments to portray the energy, mass, and spirit of the cosmos.
Adrianne and Zozimo will also take you on an inner journey, to the beginnings of human awareness, and his place in the grand starscape of the ancient skies.
The blend of science, imagination, and art, are not new to mankind, we have tried thru the ages to reconcile our experiences, with our dreams, and the mysteries of existence. So close your eyes, open your mind, and come on a journey that brings it all together in a musical harmony that frees the imagination, and lifts the spirit.

"Brilliant, exciting, and intelligently crafted ground breaking works with astounding depth, detail, and creativity. Zozimo and Adrianne's combined virtuosity rock the Southern Hemisphere with a vengeance! Quite possible to explore the depths of space without leaving your home; put on a good pair of headphones, close your eyes, strap in, and let Astronomusic provide the perfect soundtrack for personal interstellar exploration and a journey you won't soon forget! Incredible!"

About “The Collapsing Star"
I don't give out compliments lightly, and I have listened to quite a lot of lead solos in my day, and that stands out as possibly one of the best I have heard. There is true emotion in the playing. Just when you feel that the piece has pushed to a certain level, it kicks up another notch.

"Who needs a rocket to experience space travel when you have a musical ensemble such as Astronomusic to take you to the stars!
I learned of their existence through SoundClick.com
Hearing Burn Again for the first time rejuvenated my love for classically oriented rock bands such as Yes, ELP, UK and King Crimson.
Adrianne and Zozimo are awesome musicians and composers who will take you beyond Earth's bounds to places seen only by our space probes and visionary artists!"

I met Astronomusic on Myspace last year.
I immediately was impressed by their original music, something really unique.
I understood that a solid professional skill guided their innovative research and development of new sounds and spatial atmospheres.
No doubt! Astronomusic mark a new way to very high level music.
Then I discovered that Zozimo and Adrianne are also two wonderful persons and friends.
So I am proud and honored to say that I am sincerely Astronomusic friend and fan.
Commentary by Hubertus Hoffman
Classical and Electronic Music Composer, Professor of Music (UFRGS, OSPA, - Brazil -)
"Zozimo Rech, in his earlier album The Life Of A Star, based most of his tracks on the electric guitar – whereas his new Pictures Of A Solar System expands dramatically through his use of the electronic synthesizer. The wide-ranging textural techniques he displays in this album – such as his Seven Moons where the aficionado may follow up to seven distinct voices ‘orbiting' around the sound system – are exceptional. And in Comet Trip he exquisitely manipulates a 13 notes melody using a saw tooth wave shape through filters, envelop generator, sustain pedal and modulation effects through his sequencer.
He has, in this album, expanded his theme-variations technique: his Born From Ashes theme reappears in Planet Formation, Star Gazers, and Explorers; the fanfare in his introduction to Asteroid Belt comes around again but noticeably different in Almost A Home; CMZ (Circumstelar Melting Zone), CHZ (Circumstelar Habitable Zone) and CFZ (Circumstelar Frozen Zone) are three dimensions of another theme; and The First Sunbeam is closely related to his introduction for the piece Burn Again.
Listening to Zozimo's Pictures Of A Solar System has proved to be a great pleasure to me: a trip through the galaxy in a sequence of 24 ambients, all of them with moments of surprising serenity, even in the most vigorous pieces. Terrestrial and human quarrels are forgotten, leading us to unexpected comfortable spheres, inviting for meditation. Gravity is suspended... our afflictions are undone... Explorers in this voyage to the stars should take this music with them as consolation."

Brilliant!, really can envision a sequential mollecular arrangement being formed (by chance?) one atom at a time. Very economical use of the voices that paint this picture. Makes one ponder could it be that we are merely a result of random elemental based arrangements, very cool stuff, great job Zoz!

1 - Surgimento, chegada
2 - Lembra a introdução do CD1...The life of a Star...inspirativa...
3 - Pulsação / energia
4 - Delicada, suave
5 - Metamorfose
6 - Primeiros raios, acordando
7 - Girando...em busca de...
8 - Contemplação...frio
9 - realismo, passeando entre os asteroides, movimento
10 - Oportunidade, transição
11 - Sutileza, complexidade...
12 - Chuva, gotas...
13 - Dança etérea
14 - Profundidade, lentidão, água
15 - Dinâmica, causa x efeito
16 - Espaço, transformação, movimento...cores..
17 - Tensão, drama
18 - Alívio, harmonia
19 - Frieza, abstração
20 - Construção, estritiração
21 - Complexidade, infinito
22 - Encadeamento, processo

Excelente - perfeitos.
